The short version
The Wo Ai Reader iOS app keeps your learning profile on your device. You may continue as a guest or create an optional local account on your device. We do not currently require an online account, show advertising, track you, transmit product analytics, or sync your learning data to our servers.
Information stored on your device
The app may store saved words and phrases, review events, reading-session history, study progress, reader preferences, an install-local identifier and daily article-access record, and optional local-profile username and display-name information. A local-profile password is stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only protection. Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode may be used by iOS to confirm a local password reset; Wo Ai Reader does not receive your biometric data. This information supports the read–save–review experience and does not create an online Sunbyte Styles LLC account.
App analytics
Settings includes an optional “Share App Analytics” preference that is off by default. In the current build, changing this setting only saves your choice on your device. The app has no analytics uploader or analytics endpoint, so the setting does not transmit usage data. Turning it on now does not authorize future analytics uploads; if analytics transmission becomes available, we will present a new disclosure and ask for fresh consent before the first upload. Saved words, Mandarin text, source sentences, review answers, names, and detailed learning history are not sent as analytics.
Article delivery and network information
Wo Ai Reader uses packages.woaireader.com, delivered through Google Cloud CDN, as its primary service for retrieving the article catalog and reader-ready article packages. Content bundled with the app may be used as a fallback. Google Cloud automatically records request logs for this delivery configuration. Those logs can include an IP address, request time, request URL—which may identify the article or package requested—app, operating-system, and user-agent information, HTTP status, and other network diagnostic information.
Sunbyte Styles LLC uses this infrastructure information only to deliver content, prevent abuse, maintain security and availability, measure technical performance, and troubleshoot the service. We do not use it for advertising, cross-app tracking, or behavioral profiling or analytics, and content requests do not include your local profile, saved words, review answers, or detailed learning history. We retain these CDN request logs for 30 days, after which Cloud Logging automatically deletes them under the configured retention policy.
Word Studio previews
When you choose the bag button or “Design with this word,” the app opens the Word Studio designer at woaireader.com. Only the selected Hanzi, packaged pronunciation when available, and short English gloss are passed directly into that web view’s memory. During preview, they are not included in URLs, sent to a commerce server, saved as a website draft, or used for analytics. Your article sentences, source details, local profile, and other saved words are not passed to the designer. The web view uses a temporary browsing session that is discarded when closed; ordinary website delivery requests may still be processed by our hosting and security providers.
After reviewing your design, you can choose to export a concept preview using the device share sheet or a browser download. The destination you select controls any copy you save or share. Choosing “Get price and shipping” is a separate action that uploads your approved word and design, generated print artwork, name, email address, optional phone number, and shipping address to our private Cloudflare commerce service. We retain the quote and order or purchase status to operate checkout, fulfillment, refunds, and support. Printful receives the artwork and delivery details for pricing and fulfillment; Shopify receives the order and contact details and handles checkout and payment through our OuterScents store. When you start checkout from the app, payment opens in an external browser. Shopify retains customer profiles and identifiers and payment records associated with checkout. Sunbyte Styles LLC can access limited transaction and payment-method information, such as card brand and masked digits, for order administration, refunds, and support. The Wo Ai Reader app and our Cloudflare commerce service do not collect or store full payment-card numbers. Unconverted designs and quotes become eligible for deletion after 24 hours and are removed by an hourly cleanup, so removal can take up to approximately 25 hours. Checkout and paid-order records remain while payment, fulfillment, refunds or support are possible; contact us for access or deletion, subject to required transaction record retention. Purchases
Version 0.4.0 is free. Reading and learning features do not require a purchase or subscription. The app does not offer paid digital content, redeem access codes, or use a previous purchase to unlock features. Optional Word Studio purchases are physical merchandise. Shopify processes their payment; checkout started from the app opens in an external browser. Our access to limited payment records is described in the Word Studio section above.
Website, feedback, and email contact
This website does not provide a learning account, advertising, or behavioral analytics. Word Studio commerce records are described above. Our hosting and security providers may process standard request information needed to deliver and protect the website. The app can prepare a feedback or article-quality report addressed to support@sunbytestyles.com. You review the report and choose whether to send it through your email provider. Every report includes the app version and build. An article report also includes the selected article title, source, source URL, article ID, package ID, and package version. A per-report option, off by default, can add device model, operating-system version, interface type, locale, preferred language, and Low Power Mode state. Reports do not attach your local profile, install identifier, saved words, Mandarin text, review answers, or detailed learning history.
If you email us to request support or share feedback, your email address and anything you choose to include are sent through your email provider and used to respond, provide support, or maintain related business records.
Retention and deletion
In version 0.4.0, open Settings → Local Profile. If you created a local account, choose Delete Local Account and Data. If you use the app as a guest, choose Delete Learning Data. Review the scope and confirm to permanently remove your local account and its app-owned Keychain credential, saved words and phrases, review and reading history, study progress, downloaded article cache, preferences, and reminder notifications. The deletion flow also resets analytics consent and local learning identifiers. Bundled articles remain part of the app and are available to a fresh learner.
Deletion happens on your device and works offline; you do not need to email support. The app confirms completion only after its local cleanup succeeds. If cleanup cannot finish, it shows an incomplete state and allows retry before you start fresh. We do not hold a server copy of your local learning profile, so there is no online account to delete.
Local deletion does not erase Apple-managed backups, credentials you saved separately in Apple Passwords, previously sent support emails, Word Studio commerce records, or infrastructure request logs. For access to or deletion of shopping records, contact support@sunbytestyles.com; these requests are handled separately from local learning-data deletion and may be subject to required transaction record retention. CDN request logs are automatically deleted after 30 days. Email correspondence may be retained as reasonably needed to provide support, and maintain business records. Removing the app alone is not a substitute for its deletion flow because Keychain and backup retention follow Apple's operating-system behavior.
Children's privacy
Wo Ai Reader is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian who believes a child has contacted us may request assistance at the email below.
Security and future features
Device-level security and backups are controlled by you and Apple. The app retrieves reading content over the network but keeps your learning profile, review answers, and detailed learning history on your device. Your chosen Word Studio design and shopping details are shared only through the separate preview and ordering actions described above. Before enabling an online account, cloud sync, analytics transmission, crash reporting, user-submitted content import, or another data-collection service, we will publish the applicable collection, retention, deletion, and security details and update the App Store privacy disclosures.
